Affiliate links

What are affiliate links?

Affiliate links are custom links used to track where a user has originated from when they arrive at their destination, in our most common usage, for example, when we use affiliate amazon links it lets amazon know that the possible customer got to their product page after coming from one of our pages/videos.

Why do we use affiliate links?

It allows us to monetise our content, using the same example as above, when a user uses an affiliate link and then makes a purchase on the linked page we get a small % paid to us for driving that revenue to the receiving website. It gives us a chance to make some money back for our hard work!

Will it cost me?

No, there will be no additional cost to you. You pay the same price as you would normally. Otherwise, we wouldn’t do it.

What stops me just going direct?

Nothing, we hope you will use our links if you genuinely feel we have helped you decide to buy a product but we fully understand if you don’t want to and that’s why we mark all our links as an affiliate on YouTube and we are working on updating all the posts on the website to reflect this.
